This is a 2-year user focus group design project aiming to bring a better healing experience for burn victims. It is been a 2-year journey for me, and a special one, as my Master's life journey is about to end, I found I’ve been following, interacting, caring about them for more than 20 months, keeping a burn diary for nearly 700 days. It all starts with the day I went to see a friend of mine who works in a rehabilitation centre as a doctor. In there, I found a huge group of people that feel torture, not because of healing wounds, but clothes on their bodies.

Position in fashion, to me, clothes on bodies is not just glamorous appearance, more essential, is a covering that brings protection, enhancement, and good feelings.

That’s why I started to create a complete system for them, a standard system to serve individual burn and solve these problems all in one.

Dismiss The prejudice, arouse public awareness for the burns

Don’t give them a bizarre look, don’t scared to talk to them, don’t treat them differently.

To understand, to intrigue, to emphasize with is another fashion meaning to me.

For fragile grafted skin to do rehabilitation exercises, I spun new biological material—Hyaluronic Acid in a compression garment to make the wound healed without detaching the clothes.

Functionally graded materials (physical structure) is applied into dots here, to provide comfort and gradated pressure corresponding to severity of burn wounds.

For durability and Adaptability, I developed a system to standardize the production of pressure garments which can adjust the pressure to become more durable and adapt to individuals body sizes, whist greatly reduce their financial burden.
