Lea Roca Roldos

I’m a copywriter from Barcelona, Spain. I started with a BA in Design, Business, and Technology at the University College of Nordjylland in Aalborg, Denmark. During this period I completed an internship at Hearst Magazines S.L. in the Editorial Department and a traineeship at SONAE in the Mobile and Business Development team in Porto, Portugal.

After a year of traveling, I decided to enroll in a Digital Journalism program at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. Soon after I moved to Amsterdam and worked as a Copywriter.

I’m currently working on a soon-to-be-published book as an Editor and Transcriber. Diseño y Gobierno is a collection of transcribed podcast episodes about design practices in Government Labs.

Olympia

Public Urination for Everyone

Olympia — The purpose of the animation below is purely instructional to understand the mechanism of Olympia. Therefore, the animation style and colour scheme don't reflect the branding as the future branding has not yet been defined. This branding was made for the final project.

In partnership with Deepu James from London Business School. This project is based in Amsterdam and London. This project aims to address the elephant in the (room) street. The lack of public facilities for womxn to urinate.

Olympia is a genderless public urinal that provides the necessary elements for a comfortable, safe, easy, and private urinary experience. Olympia can be adjusted to your body, your condition. You can adapt it to your preference. It can be used by anyone, men or womxn.

A flexible and safe option outside, to cease the disruption of outdoor activities by retrieving home to urinate; to cease urinary infections due to withholding urine; to provide homeless womxn an accessible and hygienic public toilet facility and to enable womxn with physical disabilities a flexible option to urinate outdoors.
